I am carrie cummings
Hey there, beautiful! It’s me, Carrie Cummings!
First of all, I am so glad you’re here. You are in the right place.
We all have a story and I’d like you to share your story with me. Then, we’ll look at the parts of your story that hold you back, and change the outcome. Because I believe it’s what we do with our stories that matter most.
Seeing my story in a new way helped me get unstuck from old ways of doing things. Once I got unstuck, I could see first hand, it’s not only possible to overcome your greatest adversities, but to use them as a springboard for your greatest potential and growth. I believe everything we experience in life, is meant to help us fulfill our true purpose & can become a gift of light in our lives. I want to share how to do that with you.
And so I ask, what’s your story?
Does it work for you, or does it keep you stuck?
Are you ready?
change the trajectory of your story
My story
dark
I experienced a serious physical illness that left me completely bedridden for 3.5 years. In the middle of my body breaking down, memories of significant sexual traumas came forward. Needless to say, I found myself in a very deep, very dark hole.
From the depths of that hole, I found myself in despair on every level of my life. Trauma came at me from every angle.
As I sat one day, contemplating how I may never make it out of the place I found myself in, a RAY OF LIGHT came through the window onto my face. A gentle voice whispered to my mind, “I will Heal you.”
to light
I was guided in every step forward in that healing. Promised by God that I would use these experiences to teach and help others, I found my way out of that hole into the light of healing.
Getting real about what happened to me, saved my life. I faced my past, let go of old beliefs, tapped into my fiery spirit and found methods that worked. As a result, I discovered that true healing comes when we face the dark in order to let the light more fully in.
I believe in being real about life. We face real problems, but I also know there are real solutions. I know what it takes to face darkness and rise above it. Let me share the solutions I know work with you.
See yourself in a new light
My Skill Set
In addition to seeing clients, I am a trainer at the Institute of Healing Arts. I am also an Emotional Health educator at Aspen Grove Mental Health Hospital where I teach mindfulness, meditation and healing art practices to patients.
Previous to IHA, I was a Recreational Therapist for Primary Children’s Hospital where I developed programs in creative arts, community integration, family groups, book therapy and Leisure Education. I ran individual and group sessions for clients and their families to improve the quality of their lives and build better relationships.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy with a focus in Psychiatry. I am trained as a Certified IPT Facilitator and have over 10 years of experience as a professional artist. I have a passion for using art and the power of music with clients in the healing process.
Moreover, I am also highly intuitive and use my empathic & spiritual gifts in guiding you through your journey. Most importantly, I will help you in connecting to those you love who have passed on, if that it something you seek.
In my spare time, I love listening to music full blast, driving fast on the freeway, laughing, making healing art journals and finding the joy in life. I am passionate about holistic healing, making new friends, and my golden doodle.
